Ruslan Valdes

Ruslan Valdes is a South Florida based singer/songwriter originally from Pinar del Rio. He grew up in Viñales surrounded by beautiful mountains and rivers that can inspire anyone. Though born in Cuba, he was always exposed to english music so he developed a love for a variety of genres, from son montuno, guaracha, bolero, trova, to blues, jazz , bossa nova, rock and pop. He enjoys a wide variety of song writer's, from Elton John to Eric Clapton, Phil Collins to Willy Chirino, Jose Alfredo Jimenez to Polo Montañés. All of this and the beauty of creation influence his songs.


He believes that love and romance are always up to date and that brings us to his muse, his wife. She is from Rio de Janeiro Brasil, and is another source of his beautiful music creation along with his two daughters, who are everything to him, they make his life happier and as stated in one of his songs, thinking of them gives him “reasons to live”. In Ruslan’s own words: “My songs are simple, easy to understand and a little funny sometimes. I think we should laugh more and worry less. We spend too much time thinking and worrying than doing . We've learned a lot with this Pandemic, that we should appreciate more the things we take for granted and that we don't need much to have a good life and true friends.”
